HOW IT IS APPLIED?

  • Surface inspection and preparation.
  • Grinding; Rough grinding of the concrete surface, followed by finer metal-bonded diamond grinding, and then even-finer metal-bonded diamond grinding.
  • Densifying concrete with liquid chemical densifier; this reacts with the concrete, and fills in the natural pores and voids in the concrete.
  • Final polishing using diamond abrasives embedded in a resin matrix.
  • Sealing. This is done by application of water-based or solvent-based concrete sealer.

NOTE: Do not apply until the surface is fully saturated.

A. It is important to incorporate a variety of elements – grinding, honing, grouting, polishing, and of course, densifying.

Avoid usage of harsh cleaners that contain acidic properties; and soapy cleaners as they leave streak marks across the floor.

A. YES and NO. It can completely remove some stains through the grinding and polishing process. In some cases, however the stains cannot be removed fully.

A. 2 or more decades, as the polished concrete floors are highly-resistant and incredibly high-performing floors. They can last for over 20 years if they are installed by a professional with proper equipment and also if they are properly maintained throughout the years.

A. Each concrete job represents new and different circumstances. So each situation will need to be approached differently. But at the end of it, any structurally safe slab of concrete can be polished.
